As a real estate investor invested in many states I watch the media for news of the housing market. As most of you have observed the sentiment is that the housing market is cooling and foreclosures are rising. This seems borne out by the cnn money article which comments that most of the growth in the last 12 months happenned in the first six months. However if you had bailed a year ago you would have missed some of these returns. I looked at another article that provides a forecast of the next 12 months.

While it is nice to see that one of my investments is in the top 10 forecasted growth markets, relying on these things can be dangerous. The market can vary street by street, house by house. These are just averages. As a remote investor in many states that is what I find most challenging .. trying to find the right price point and location from afar.
